Reclaim your attention. Restore balance. A simple device to end compulsive iPad checking and the “popcorn brain” habit.
At iPad Black Box, we believe that technology should serve us — not control us. Inspired by the growing need to counter iPad addiction, our team designed the PBB to reduce the compulsive habit of constantly checking the iPad. Grounded in the latest behavioral research (2023–2025), PBB helps users overcome “popcorn brain” — a state of restless attention caused by constant notifications and endless scrolling. By promoting conscious disconnection, PBB empowers you to think deeper, sleep better, and live more mindfully. of work.
The iPad Black Box (PBB) is a compact, portable, and tamper-proof device designed to reduce compulsive iPad use. Once your iPad is placed inside and the box locks, it cannot be opened until the preset time expires — allowing you to focus fully on work, rest, or real life.
Constant notifications, endless scrolling, and the urge to “just check” our iPads have rewired our brains for distraction. iPad Black Box breaks this loop, helping users restore focus, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and strengthen real-life connections. By reducing compulsive checking, PBB supports better emotional balance, deeper concentration, and more meaningful time — both online and offline.
No screens. No buttons. No distractions — just discipline made simple.
Place your iPad inside the PBB.
The box detects the iPad and locks automatically. And during lock time, the companion app handles all notifications and activates DND.
Once the timer expires, the box unlocks automatically — and your iPad is free.
